For Full Moon before Easter 2010 I intended to shoot the 'Dancehall of the 4000ers' from Diavolezza. Unfortunately the weahter did not play along as towards the evening most clouds from the south-west moved in and cuddled the mountains into a milky mist.
Instead I took the opportunity to create a Time-Lapse of the Hotel Waldhaus with Piz La Margna in the background directly from the balcony of our condominium in Sils.
The difficulty was that I stared late afternoon with regular daylight ending after midnight with moonlight only.
After doing some math I believed to have done the right calculations for this take and went for dinner with friends.
Upon return around 9 pm each exposure was up to 30 secs and underexposed. The reason was that I did not set ISO setting high enough. After adjusting the ISO setting I let the camera continue taking the interval shoots.
Later during the post-processing I found Adobe Lightroom the perfect tool to adjust the two series of takes and I am quite happy with the result.
This sequence consists of 1106 single shots taken at various intervals of 4-30 seconds with my Nikon D300 as high-resolution JPG-images over a period of 6.5 hours.
